"I'm not the guy to exaggerate: This is probably the most romantic, lovely and peaceful place I’ve ever been! The early morning (which is in fact not my most favorite time) in the garden behind the cottage: the sound of dropping water that tells about the night rain, tweeting birds from near and far. No other sounds. The early sun shining through the trees — promising a beautiful day yet to start! This really is close to heaven! The hosts, Suzy and Alan, are two kind-hearted people who not only welcomed us warmly, but made us feel home. Always with a smile they were providing us with a suggestion of wonderful places nearby to visit. The cottage is very lovingly furnished. The entrance goes directly into the kitchen, which proves to be very clever: there you can take off your street shoes and go into the cozy living room. The two bedrooms upstairs give you the feeling of being in the middle of a fairy tale. Lovely! For those who love media, a TV and fast internet bring you a connection to the outside world. At a scale from 0 to 10 this place is a enchanting 12! Thank you Suzy, thank you Alan!"

"Besides us having a really wonderful stay in the 'old mill', a comfortable and spacious appartement with everything you need for a clear 5 star ranking, there were Alan and Suzy. At first they startet us of with a bottle of wine, some pralines and a British tea time and welcomed us warmly. Throughout our whole stay they were very friendly and entertained us with funny conversations plus they were desired to improve our experience and therefore helped us out with local tipps and provided everything we needed. They were by far a lot friendlier, more helpful and comforting than one can expect even from a good host. We thank for making our stay so nice. Jutta, Yannik and Patrik"

Your cottage is perfectly located to explore Cornwall, close to main roads and Truro, yet in perfectly serene countryside with excellent food at your local pub. Here’s what Finn wrote : Stayed July 2019

"The Stables is in a great central location in Cornwall. It is lovely and peaceful at night. At the same time, it isn't far from Truro, where there is a good choice of supermarkets. It was really nice to be greeted with scones and clotted cream, wine and chocolate to enjoy on arrival, while there were other thoughtful touches, for example tissues were provided in the bedrooms. There were also details given of local places to eat with directions and of course Suzy was on hand to give advice as well. On the third day of our stay we were unfortunate enough to have our car break down. We weren't far from Suzy's place and were able to ring and get numbers of local garages from Suzy's husband, Alan. We had our car picked up by Greenflag and taken to a nearby garage, while we were dropped at the Stables. Suzy and Alan kindly allowed us to use their phone to contact two different car hire companies (the first turned out not to have any cars) and Suzy also went to the trouble of driving us to Truro to collect our hire car. We were so grateful to Suzy and Alan for helping us to continue to enjoy our week. We were very fortunate to have such fabulous hosts."
